Great Southern Box Company Food Hall at The Packing District Orlando, FL

Once a warehouse supporting citrus production in Orlando's Packing District, the Great Southern Box Building has undergone a transformative journey to become The Great Southern Box Company Food Hall which houses food vendors, a central bar, and versatile event hall. It will also be home to a future brewery.

Dix.Hite reimagined and designed the exterior connections of this adaptive reuse space, honoring its industrial heritage while placing careful attention on context, microclimates, and material finishes. The shaded outdoor areas feature an elevated plaza, and every detail, from the playful design elements to the thoughtful seating arrangements, are crafted to appeal to all ages and foster a sense of community and connection. The project, integral to the overarching vision of the Packing District's redevelopment, promises to be a cornerstone of the revitalized district.
