Bainbridge Lake Shadow Maitland, Florida

Dix.Hite designed the Bainbridge at Lake Shadow to highlight and take advantage of the site’s assets – the wooded landscape and the beautiful Lake Shadow. Careful planning went into the edge conditions and buffering to transition between the apartments and the adjacent neighborhood homes. A shaded walking trail winds through mature trees and crosses a tranquil creek, connecting residents to a series of pocket parks, seating areas, and the clubhouse amenities. The trail also connects to the neighboring Fennell Park, also designed by Dix.Hite as part of this project. The clubhouse amenities feature a lakeside firepit and pavilion, resort-style vanishing edge pool, cabanas, and secluded seating decks along the creek that flows into the lake. A dock with kayak storage and lighted seating makes the perfect venue to watch the sunset. Dix.Hite provided building color design taking inspiration from a nostalgic lakeside camp experience with muted forest colors and wood accents.
