Head Heart Hands
At Dix.Hite, we have great people.
Everyone brings their own special sauce to the table, but we mix and collaborate to become one. Creating one voice, one sound mind, and one strong team of dedicated individuals. With every solid team comes strong leadership, and though every piece is vital, there are a few parts guiding us.
The head. The heart. The hands.
Behind the Dix.Hite brand and every project we undertake are three amazing women: Chris, Gail, and Sharon. At our retreat, we celebrated their unmatched leadership and how they constantly inspire us to be our best selves. Though you won’t ever quite experience the tears of joy, warm hugs, or rounds of beer and applause, we invite you to get a glimpse of what was said by the incredible, powerful women who lead us here at Dix.Hite.
Chris – The Head
Chris, our CEO, is a natural-born leader: charismatic, energetic, and confident. But above all, she gets things done, always. Even on vacation, she’s present, sharing her innovative ideas with the team. Chris works closely with UF and UGA’s landscape architecture programs and dedicates herself to mentoring and giving back to the profession. Her rooted passion for landscape architecture makes her a force to be reckoned with, and she realizes our potential to solve key problems in our field. She’s the queen of big picture thinking and thought leadership. She’s constantly making connections and networking to further our reach in the community and advance the growing world of landscape architecture. Consider her a matchmaker –bridging connections between people and places and making great things happen. We’re so glad she heads our team here at Dix.Hite.
Gail – The Heart
Gail is our resident cheerleader. As the heart of our operation, she’s a constant reminder of both our mission and the meaning behind our work. She protects our happiness as well as our clients’ at all times. Gail is a giver both in and out of the office, devoting her free time to volunteering at The Sharing Center, her church, and local shelters during Florida’s harsh hurricane season. She wholeheartedly believes in service leadership and exemplifies the importance and impact of true kindness. She’s one of the hardest working people on the team and we wouldn’t be the same without her. She’s also our funds fairy (CFO), working her magic on our finances to keep our firm moving in the right direction year after year.
Sharon – The Hands
Sharon keeps us going. She points the team in the right direction in tough times and applauds us when things are going our way. As our COO, she lives and dies by Excel spreadsheets, which doesn’t sound cool, but trust us, it’s very cool. When our creative team is in desperate need of a reality check, she’s there with calm, collected redirection, helping us organize our big ideas and make actionable plans. Her breadth of experience in the landscape architecture industry has been key to us growing as project managers and to serving our clients on an even higher level. We’re thankful for her life-saving problem solving skills, advice, and endless encouragement.
Chris, Gail, and Sharon each tirelessly bring their all to Dix.Hite day after day. Without their grace and guidance, we wouldn’t be the same. Thank you all for your commitment to the craft, each other, and our team.
