Johan Bueno, PLA

Johan Bueno is a Senior Landscape Architect and Design Studio Lead at Dix.Hite + Partners, bringing over a decade of experience in shaping vibrant, sustainable spaces. A proud graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Johan has led a variety of projects for Dix.Hite, including FDOT transportation corridors, multi-family developments, streetscape design projects, mixed-use communities, and stormwater parks. As a natural leader, he leads the firm's Mimosa Studio, working closely with his team to design spaces that enrich both the environment and the communities they serve.

An active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Johan has contributed as the past Orlando Section Chair and Conference Chair, and he remains an engaged Orlando Section member. He also dedicates time to mentoring the next generation of designers through the ACE Mentorship Program in Central Florida. Known around the office as the go-to technical expert, Johan’s AutoCAD skills are legendary — so much so that he’s played a major role in establishing the firm's CAD standards and templates. Recently bitten by the 3D printing bug, Johan is also excited to explore how emerging technologies can further enhance landscape architecture.

When he’s not fine-tuning a streetscape design or helping map out a mixed-use community, Johan enjoys indulging his creative side. As an amateur photographer, he loves capturing the world through his lens — whether it's a bustling city street or taking headshots at the office. A self-proclaimed cinephile, he’s always ready to debate the finer points of classic films or recommend an obscure gem. Through all of life’s adventures, Johan is happily married and always planning his next project, whether it's new travel plans or mastering the art of 3D-printed dog toys.
