Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater is a 130-acre park in Albertville, AL, aimed at serving all of Sand Mountain with family-friendly, public play spaces, live entertainment, and elite-level athletic facilities. Dix.Hite provided site planning, amenity design and full landscape and hardscape design services for the park.  The design includes 7 playgrounds, a new aquatics facility with a splash pad, lazy river and pool, a dog park, RV park, and a state-of-the-art amphitheater. Dix.Hite also designed the venues for the athletic fields for softball, baseball, tennis, and adjacent multi-purpose facilities. The park opened in Spring 2021.
