Dix.Hite is leading a team including architects, civil engineers, economists, and others to develop the Master Plan for Coastal Gateway Community Park. Gulf Shores is a fast-growing community on the gulf coast of Alabama, where outdoor activity is a mainstay of the community lifestyle for all four seasons. To meet its residents’ evolving needs, the City is investing in a public space for all ages and abilities to gather for community events, learn about natural processes, and simply enjoy the outdoors. Sustainability is one of the foundations of the City’s Vision for 2030 and the park will put those values on display through green infrastructure, renewable energy and recycled materials.
